Do not release the clutch or take the vehicle out of drive until the vehicle has almost completely stopped.

Be sure to release the pressure on the brake at the first hint that the wheels are starting to slip.

Pump brakes on and off very gently.

When stopping a car with anti-lock brakes, simply press firmly on the brake pedal.
